Inside Bethlehem Steel:The Final Quarter Century

Peter B. Treiber, Photographer

For 24 years, from 1977 to 2000, Peter photographed Bethlehem Steel’s mills and clients’ projects nationwide. For the first five years, Peter was a staff photographer in the Advertising Department and later continued working for the company and their outside advertising agency as a contract photographer.

Peter holds an Associate Degree in Design from the State University of New York and a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree in Photography from the Art Center College of Design in California. Peter currently maintains a photography business and lives with his family in Lewes, Delaware.

 
Elizabeth A. Kovach, Writer

Elizabeth, known as Bette, worked at Bethlehem Steel Corporation from early October 1976 until late May 2003. She served in corporate communications positions
managing media relations, employee communications and publications, product marketing, executive speech writing, and issues management. Bette’s last position with the company was Director of Corporate Communications where she served as the company spokesperson during times of extreme crisis.


Bette holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Journalism from Moravian College and has completed extensive graduate work in business administration. She lectures on crisis
communications, employee communications, and media relations. Bette currently maintains a corporate communications business and lives with her family in Bethlehem, Pa.
